When to use: A DM arrives claiming a Lucyd page / account is in violation of Meta’s policies and asking you to “submit an appeal” via a link.
These are phishing attempts. DO NOT engage.
Procedure (no customer reply)
- DO NOT click any links in the DM.
- DO NOT reply — even acknowledging the message can be used against the account.
- Mark as spam in Meta Business Suite (Report → Spam).
- Close in Gorgias. Tag
Issue: Spam-Phishing.
Common patterns to watch for
- “⚠️ Your page will be disabled, submit appeal”
- “Policy violation — verify your account here”
- “Your shop is at risk of removal — confirm identity at [link]”
- Senders pretending to be “Meta Verified” or “Facebook Support” but messaging from a regular DM, not a Meta system notification
Real Meta policy notifications arrive via the Business Suite → Notifications tab and via official @facebook.com / @meta.com emails, NOT through DMs from random accounts.
If you accidentally clicked a link
- Don’t enter credentials.
- Tell Alex immediately in
#cs-escalations. - Run a malware scan on your device.
No customer-facing reply text — this macro is a no-engagement procedure.
