Prescription lenses
How to add your prescription to a Lucyd order, what lens types we offer, and how to measure your PD.
You can add prescription lenses to nearly every Lucyd frame. Our in-house lab (ITFIT) cuts custom lenses for single vision, progressives, bifocals, and readers.
How to add your Rx
- Pick your frame on lucyd.co.
- Click Add Rx Lenses on the product page (or Select Lenses for Armor).
- Choose lens type — single vision, progressive, bifocal, reader.
- Choose lens material / tint — clear, blue-light, Lucyd Shift (photochromic), Lucyd Blueshift, polarized.
- Enter your Rx values (SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD if progressive) and your PD.
- Place your order. Lenses ship in up to 10 business days.
What’s your PD?
PD = pupillary distance — the distance in millimeters between the centers of your pupils. It’s required for prescription lenses to work correctly.
- Typical PD range: 60–64 mm. Higher PD (up to ~70) is possible.
- Your eye doctor will have it on file from your last exam.
- You can also measure it yourself with a free phone app — search “PD Measure” in the App Store or Google Play.
We can’t process Rx orders without a PD. If you forget to include it, we’ll email and call you to get it before cutting.
Lens types
Clear (standard)
Standard clear lens. Good for indoor use and screen-heavy work.
Lucyd Blue-light filter (clear)
Filters ~20% of harmful blue light. Comes standard on Reebok Optical. Available as an upgrade on other lines.
Lucyd Shift (photochromic, auto-tinting)
Clear indoors, darkens to non-polarized sunglass-tint outdoors. Replaces brand-name “Transitions.” Needs a few hours of direct sunlight to fully activate the first time — wear them outside for a couple of days to break them in.
Lucyd Blueshift (photochromic + blue-light)
Lucyd Shift’s photochromic behavior plus an additional blue-light filter for screen-heavy use.
Sun / polarized
Sunglass tint, optionally polarized.
Lens upgrade pricing
Custom lens prices vary by type. Some standard cost notes:
- Lucyd Shift non-Rx: about $70.
- Lucyd Blueshift non-Rx: about $145.
- Armor custom lenses: about $25 more than equivalent Lyte custom lenses due to the high-curvature frame.
The product page shows exact pricing at checkout.
Refundability
Custom lenses are non-refundable in all cases. Once they’re cut to your prescription, we can’t resell them. This applies to lucyd.co orders and marketplace orders alike. See DTC returns for the full policy.
If we make an error (wrong lens type cut, lens damaged in transit, lens defect), we’ll remake at no charge — that’s the warranty.

Common questions
Do you accept FSA / HSA?
Yes. Reach out to info@lucyd.co if you need an itemized receipt for reimbursement.
Do you offer trifocal progressive lenses?
We offer progressives (graduated power top to bottom). For specific trifocal needs, contact us and we’ll work with you.
How long do custom lenses take to ship?
Up to 10 business days. Single vision usually ships in 5 days, progressives and Lucyd Shift / Blueshift usually take the full 10. Complex Rx (high-index, very high power) can take longer — we’ll let you know.
What if I don’t know my PD?
Two options: (1) call your last eye doctor — they have it on file, or (2) download the free “PD Measure” app and measure with your phone. If you order without a PD, we’ll reach out.
Can I transfer my Rx lenses to a new frame?
Yes, in many cases — especially under warranty replacement. We’ll handle the lens transfer at our lab; we may ask you to ship the original frame back so we can pop the lenses out.
